Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington National Cemetery
On Thursday, October 1, 2009 a wreath laying ceremony was held at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. Honor Guard members from across the country participated in this tribute leading up to the 2009 National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend. Pat Stonaker, a member or the Fire Service Survivors Network, helped to present the wreath during the ceremony. Pat's father, Richard Liddy, with the Basking Ridge Fire Co. #1 in New Jersey suffered a heart attack and died in 1994. Her son, Ben, is also in the U.S. Army and has served in Iraq.
