Travel Day & Family Registration If you arrive by plane, train, or bus, local firefighters will meet you and take you to your hotel. This service will be available on Friday for immediate family members only. Foundation staff members and returning family volunteers will be at the hotels to welcome you, register you for the Weekend, and answer any questions you have.

Family Registration & Morning Activities If you did not register for the Weekend at your hotel, Registration will be open all day on campus so you can get information and your credentials for admission to all Weekend events and meals.
While you are on campus, you can sign the Remembering Banner, place a rose and light a candle in memory of your fallen firefighter at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Chapel, or take a walk or tour around the beautiful campus.
The family of each fallen firefighter will have the opportunity to decorate a luminaria bag in honor of their fallen firefighter. These will be used in the evening Candlelight Service.

Chapel Vigil The historic Chapel will be open during the day. Honor Guard members will stand in silent vigil as you place a rose in the symbolic Maltese Cross and light a candle for your loved one. |

Afternoon Sessions Groups are set up by your relationship to the firefighter so fathers meet with fathers, wives with
wives, etc. There are groups and activities for elementary, middle, and high school ages. This is your time to share with others in similar situations.

Sea of Blue When you arrive on campus, members of the fire service will stand at attention in your honor as you pass through the Sea of Blue. |

Memorial Service This public ceremony is the official national tribute to America's fallen firefighters. It features fire service traditions, including an honor guard and bagpiper procession. During the ceremony, each family receives an American flag.
