On Sunday, October 16, the Chapel Bells at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland, chimed for the first time in 30 years to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice and begin the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.
72 firefighters who died in the line of duty in 2010 and 17 firefighters who died in previous years were honored on October 14 - 16, 2011 in Emmitsburg, Md.

Since 1992, the tax-exempt, nonprofit Foundation has developed and expanded programs to honor our fallen fire heroes and assist their families and coworkers.
