Although I was only 4 in 1975 when it happened I remember my father as if it was yesterday. I just want to say I miss and love my daddy and wish I had years with him, but he is in a much better place then me.

While I didnt know you, you must understand that your death does not go unnoticed. Hundreds upon thousands of firefighters stand up when we hear about tragic losses in our occupation. We read and teach why it happened to even the most veteran of us.

God Bless all firefighters. Destry Horton died March 24, 2006 after his battle with burns received when fighting a wildfire in southern Oklahoma. We miss him and will never forget his sacrifice.
