Wreath Laying at Arlington National Cemetery
Honor Guard members and returning survivors will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Bus transportation will be provided.

Join other returning survivors at a reception held in your honor.

Returning Survivors can register for Weekend events and receive your credentials at the family hotel.

If you did not register for the Weekend at the family hotel, Registration will be open in Emmitsburg.

Special Activities
  • Sign the special remembering banner for returning survivors.
  • Spend a few quiet moments in the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Chapel. Light a candle and place a rose in honor of your firefighter.
  • Take a walking tour of the beautiful campus, including the monument, the Walk of Honor, the 9/11 statue, and the nearby Seton Shrine grounds.

Family Lunch
Lunch for new and returning families will be served at the family hotel.

Red Helmet Ride
Watch a parade of hundreds of bikers ride onto the campus and then attend a brief wreath-laying service at the national monument.

Family Dinner
Dinner for new and returning families will be served in the campus dining hall.

Candlelight Service
Families describe this beautiful service as a highlight of the Weekend. A talented group of returning family members and firefighters provide music while a candle is lit for each firefighter being honored.

This public ceremony is the official national tribute to America's fallen firefighters, featuring fire service traditions including an honor guard and bagpiper procession.
