Treasurer of the Board of Directors
For more than 53 years, Robert W. Jacobs has been a dedicated member of the Frederick (MD) Fire Service as both a volunteer Firefighter and a part-time Firefighter and EMT.
A Life Member of Citizens Fire and Truck Company, Jacobs held numerous administrative positions, including Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer, and was elected President and Director in 2016. Over the years he also held numerous positions with the Maryland State Fireman’s Association, and is currently the Assistant Treasurer. In addition, he served as a Trustee and Past President of the Frederick County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association.
Between 1966 and 2010, Mr. Jacobs was employed by Montgomery College. Beginning as a clerk he rose through various accounting positions and retired as the college’s Bursar. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1966 through 1969.
Mr. Jacobs has always been committed to serving his community in many ways. He has held a variety of board and administrative positions with the PTA of Frederick County Schools, the Monocacy Village Community Association, the Frederick County Fish & Game Protective Association and the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
