Every time I have participated in a stair climb for the past eight years, I have climbed in honor of Michael F. Cammarata and Christina Taylor Green. Every event I’m blessed to share their stories and learn of another heroes that perished that day as I select another picture to carry with me as I climb.

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is pleased to announce that Philicia McCauley has joined our staff as a Financial Manager.
Our scholarship program is possible through the generous support of several partners, including the Engine Company 5 Foundation/Steel Family Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation. For the last several years, the Engine Company 5 Foundation has awarded additional funds to nine of the scholarship recipients through the Terry Manning and David Edwards Memorial Scholarships. In the future, the Engine Company 5 Foundation wants to assist more children of fallen firefighters wishing to pursue a degree.
It is with profound sadness that we share the news that Retired Chief Leonard T. King, Sr., died Thursday, February 1, in Annapolis, Maryland.
In appreciation for Art’s achievements, the NFFF has created the Arthur J. Glatfelter Distinguished Service Award to recognize exceptional service to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

Karla Houfek has a caring heart. When tragedy strikes in Nebraska and a firefighter dies in the line of duty, Ms. Houfek is one of the first to reach-out.
