Al Fischer was a long-time member of Blackwood Terrace (Union) Vol. Fire Company in Deptford‚ New Jersey. Al was responding to a call on foot‚ as he lived less than a block away from the station and was struck by a vehicle‚ sustaining mortal injuries.
