End of Watch 15 JUL 1984
After responding to the scene of a garage fire on July 5th, Hardel went to cut power to the structure. After cutting the power, he ran back down the alley to the scene. Once back on scene, Carl complained of chest pains, and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. He was released after several days in the hospital, and returned home for one day. He was re-admitted due to complications, and passed away on July 15th.
