He had no obligation to do what he did that cold February day on the lake. He saw helpless people in peril and rushed to their aid. For this selfless act of personal courage and bravery, he paid the ultimate price. I seriously doubt that for one moment he thought of himself or the dangers he faced. Men like Clay Cutter don’t think that way, they just do it.
The world would be a better place had he survived that day.
