A member of the Maine‚ New York‚ Fire Department for more than 20 years‚ Joe Vargason was also a member of the Broome County Fire Police.
He was an avid outdoorsman‚ dedicated family man‚ and devoted grandfather. Zachary saw his ‘Papa’ daily and they were usually seen together.
He was also active in the Maine American Legion and served as Vice Commander. Joe was also a member of the VFW.
