Classification: Volunteer
Rank: Firefighter
Date of Death: September 24‚ 2000
Age: 36
It has been many years since I have lost my father. I was seven then and now I am sixteen. It seems just like yesterday to me.
I remember just how much he loved to go to the fire department and work daily. How for hours he would set in front of his computer and work on the web page that he had built for the fire department.
When he left our world to go to a bigger and brighter place‚ he left behind a family that loved him. My mom was 6 months pregnant with my sister at the time. It was really hard on her for a very long time. I now get to sit and tell my sister just how much my father would have loved her and that he is riding that big red fire truck in the sky keeping an eye on her.
I want every one to know that my family loved and misses my father every day. I am looking forward to the day that I‚ too‚ can protect our entire city just like my father.
