Robert Broussard‚ 59‚ career firefighter‚ Sycuan Fire Department‚ died May 31‚ 2002‚ after he collapsed during a mandatory pack test to recertify to fight wildfires with the U.S. Forest Service. Broussard served with the department for five years and was a member of its honor guard. He received his department’s Merit and Life Saving Medals. He served with the U.S. Marines and was a Vietnam veteran.
He was a heck of a nice guy very patriotic‚ just a good family man and a fine gentleman.
