Submitted by his Wife
Roger was a firefighter for 9 years and an EMT for 8 years prior to his death. He loved helping others and he did it not only with fire and rescue‚ but in his personal life as well. He was always there to help out a friend.
He left behind our two daughters‚ Kelsy and Andrea‚ and me‚ his wife and fellow EMT. He also left behind many friends and other family members.
He worked hard for both of his departments and his contributions will be there for future generations to see.
Roger was a firefighter and EMT in Atlanta, IL. He was taken from us on January 21, 2006 while fighting a house fire. He was more than a firefighter and an EMT; he was a good friend and father to 2 beautiful girls. He was also my husband and I am proud that I am his wife. He dedicated his life to helping others and has left a legacy at the Firehouse and Rescue Squad that will never be forgotten.
