Thomas B. Rice‚ 70‚ a volunteer firefighter with the Perry Fire Department‚ died of a heart attack while on fire police duty on November 9‚ 1998. He served as president of the Fireman’s Park Association and had been named Volunteer Fireman of the Year by both the Wyoming County and the Western New York Volunteer’ Fireman’s Association.
