Director of Marketing
Susan Proels joined the Foundation in October 2015 and serves as the Director of Marketing. She works, in conjunction with the entire foundation team, to promote the programs, services, events and information that supports our efforts to assist the American fire service community. Susan retired from the Prince George’s County Fire/Emergency Medical Services Department in September 2015 after serving that agency for 34 years. For more than ten years she assisted the department in the public information office handling marketing, media relations and communications efforts. Following that assignment, she served as the Executive Administrative Aide to the Fire Chief for the last 15 years of her fire service career. Susan and her husband John live in Lothian, Maryland.
