Cory is attending the University of Toronto where continues to pursue his degree in Ethics, Society and Law as well as in Social-Cultural Anthropology. Upon graduation, he plans to further his education in law and is applying to schools in the US. Cory’s ultimate career goal is to become a Federal Judge or possibly run for office.
Due to the COVID pandemic, Cory found his extracurricular activities curtailed. Unable to provide in-person support for his volunteer work and having to attend school virtually from home, Cory took the opportunity to seek out summer work at the local Home Depot and is currently working part-time as a cashier at Sportchek to help offset his tuition, books, and housing costs.
Chief Michael Cleenput states, “Cory is an outstanding young man and focused individual. He consistently has maintained a high GPA and placed on the Dean’s List. Based upon his maturity, dedication, drive, and will, he will be an amazing representative for this scholarship.”
