Charmin is in the business of providing comfort. Through the Charmin Relief Project, the company recently donated $20,000 to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to assist the survivors of fallen firefighters.
Josh Henderson, former “Dallas” star and project spokesman, presented a check to Vina Drennan, an NFFF board member and fire service survivor, at a firehouse in Moonachie, NJ on March 17th. Charmin will also be donating $5,000 to the Dallas Firefighters’ Memorial Fund in honor of fallen Dallas firefighters as well as Henderson’s late grandfather, who was a Dallas firefighter.
The donation was part of their new campaign, “Butts That Save Our Butts.” Charmin will donate a year’s supply of Charmin toilet paper to 100 firehouses across the country. Since firehouses serve as a home away from home for many firefighters, Charmin wants to ensure these heroes have toilet paper—one of the most basic comforts of home—in their firehouses while they’re on the job.
In addition, for each coupon claimed on charminrelief.dja.com now through April 24, 2015, Charmin will donate at least 30,000 rolls of toilet paper to firehouses nationwide. You can also see more about the Charmin Relief Project on Facebook.com/Charmin or on Twitter @Charmin.
