Covid-19

As the United States works to deal with the Covid-19 Pandemic, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) and its affiliate, First Responder Center for Excellence (FRCE), are taking steps to ensure our continuity of operations and the safety of our staff, fire hero families, public safety partners, contractors and volunteers. The NFFF and FRCE have suspended all work-related travel until June 1, 2020. All NFFF events scheduled to occur before June 1 have been postponed and may be rescheduled. At this time, all events scheduled after June 1 are still planned, pending additional information on the national emergency.

The NFFF and FRCE offices, both in Emmitsburg and Crofton, have been closed and all of our staff are working from home. Phones will continue to be answered and emails will continue to be responded to. Our work efforts will not decrease in any fashion. Our efforts to support the fire service community when a line-of-duty death occurs will continue with the efforts of our Local Assistance State Teams and our Fire Hero Family support programs.

If you need any assistance from the NFFF or the FRCE, please reach out to us and we will do our best to support you in any way we can.

During the Covid-19 Pandemic, the campus of the National Emergency Training Center (NETC) in Emmitsburg, Maryland, the home of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial, is closed to the public. Pending additional information on this national emergency, we ask for everyone’s patience and understanding. Please visit the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Webcam.
