Kathleen will shift her educational pursuit of a Psychology degree to an Associates of Science degree. She finds herself in a position where she must self-finance her college education and realizes this investment in herself will carry a significant financial challenge. After consulting with her counselor at the school, changing her major will assist her toward becoming a surgeon while keeping her educational costs lower.
Due to the pandemic and working full-time to help support her family, opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities are limited. Kathleen is currently unemployed and chooses to use this time to focus on her education and assisting with caring for the home and her younger siblings. She hopes to enroll in EMT courses next school year to work in the medical field and better support herself financially.
Dawn Romero, Financial Manager for Total Concept shares, “Kathleen DeVore is extremely outgoing and caring. She is committed to her academics and growing professionally while helping others.”
