H. Fred Broussard

H. Fred Broussard‚ 69‚ Chief of the Maurice Volunteer Fire Department since its inception in 1967‚ died on November 18‚ 1999‚ after suffering a heart attack while fighting a tanker fire. Owner of a local plumbing and electric company‚ he was well known throughout the fire community. He served as President of the Louisiana Fire Chiefs Association and President of the Vermilion Fire Protection District.
