James F. Lyons

James F. Lyons‚ III‚ 34‚ a member of the Worcester Fire Department‚ died in the December 3‚ 1999‚ warehouse fire‚ while searching for two trapped firefighters. Five other firefighters also died in this incident. A former member of the Massachusetts State Police‚ Lyons held a master’s degree in Criminal Justice. He worked as a volunteer in the Why Me program for young cancer patients.

  1. “Jay”, simply put, was the greatest man I have ever had the honor of meeting. His work with Cancer patients is one of many charities he held close to his heart. He was a classic text book example of a man that would go out of his way to assist anyone. This world lost a valiant individual on December of 1999
