FireFighter Raymond J. Magnus died while performing ventilation efforts at an apartment building fire on the north side of Chicago on May 29th‚ 1985. Raymond was an Eight year veteran of the Chicago Fire Dept‚ a member of Hook and Ladder CO. 35. Raymond was the Fourth Chicago FireFighter to die in the line of duty that year.
Raymond was survived by his Mother‚ a son and two daughters. On October 9th 1985‚ Raymond’s family was presented with The Robert J. Quinn Gold Badge.
I believe yhis is the same Raymond magnus that I grew up with in the keystone/north avenue area.

I remember his dad was a barber and that he was dating a girl named Lee back then.
You are my favorite uncle. I remember our camping, and you being the superman of our times, my pops and you were the two to be reckoned with. We all loved each other, and it was great. Love you, and miss you!
